These before and after pictures are of a Design. My client was a physically challenged 19 year old who LOVED pink. She wanted her entire room pink but, on my advice, went for just one wall. The left and right drapery panels swing away to hide her wheel chair and potty, respectively. She spent a lot of time in her bed doing crafts, reading, watching TV, so I made this area her sanctuary with all her supplies close at hand.
Here I removed the broken closet door and replaced it with automated drapery that she controlled from her wheel chair. She left the drapery closed when she had company.
In the after photo you can see the footboard of the bed. I covered the footboard and headboard of the hospital bed using left-over bedding fabric and a starch technique. When you don't want the fabric anymore you just pull the fabric off and wipe down the area and it's just like new.
My client was known as "Princess" by her family so I included little Princess details throughout the room. |
